Why a good outline matters

An outline is the skeleton of your work. Get it right and writing goes twice as fast: you know what each section covers and you don't jump between ideas.

Many instructors ask to see the outline first. Once it's approved you start writing — and avoid rewriting the whole paper later.

Outline points should match the objectives stated in the introduction. If the introduction sets three objectives, the main part should follow three lines of argument.

How an outline is structured

A standard academic outline has three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. The main body is split into 2–4 sections, each with its own heading.

In coursework and theses the sections are called chapters and numbered inside: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1. For essays a simple list is enough.

Headings should say what the section is about. Not "Theoretical part" but "International experience in water resource management" — the heading itself informs.

The reference list goes last in the outline but isn't numbered.

Common outline mistakes

Too many points — a 20-point outline fragments the work. 8–12 is optimal.

Unbalanced sections: chapter one runs 15 pages, chapter two 2. Give each section roughly equal weight.

The conclusion raises a new topic. A conclusion only sums up what was said.

Drifting off topic: if a point isn't directly related to the topic, cut it — examiners notice immediately.

FAQ

Is the outline generator really free?

Yes, 5 outlines a day are completely free, no sign-up needed. A full work with text costs 500 UZS per page.

How is the outline built?

AI analyses the topic and builds an 8–12 point academic outline: introduction, main chapters and conclusion — following Uzbek university standards.

Can I get the full work after the outline?

Yes — press "Create the full work" and AI builds a file from this outline in 30–60 seconds: title page, text and references.

How many points does an outline have?

Usually 8–12: introduction, 2–4 main sections with sub-points, and a conclusion. Broad topics get more points.

Can I edit the outline?

Yes, copy it into Word and edit freely. If your supervisor asks for changes, rework it from there.

Which work types does it support?

Essays, independent studies, coursework, presentations and research articles. Each type gets its own structure — chapters for coursework, a slide sequence for presentations.
